Sussan Deyhim is an Iranian composer, vocalist, performance artist and activist.

Sussan Deyhim

Is an award winning Iranian composer, vocalist, performance artist and activist. LA Times quotes her as "One of Iran's most potent voices in exile". And NY Times reviews her voice as "Her voice remains in your ears a long time after you have left the theater". Sussan can be heard on multiple award winning sound tracks including Argo, The Last Temptation of Christ and The Kite Runner among others. She has scored for multiple video works by artist and filmmaker Shirin Neshat, including Turbulent the winner of Golden Lion at The Venice Biennial.

Her Stage production The House is Black Media Project has been presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Royce Hall/CAP UCLA and The Wallis. Other collaborations include U2, Peter Gabriel, Eve Ensler, Bobby McFerrin, Robert Egan and her longtime partner, composer and co-creator, Richard Horowitz.
