THE UNDOING

RETURNING TO BREATH
WITH SUSSAN DEYHIM

"One of Iran's most potent voices in exile"
- Los Angeles Times

WE HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO BREATHE.
THROUGH ANCIENT TECHNIQUES, SUSSAN DEYHIM WILL GUIDE
US ON A PATH TO REGAINING THIS ABILITY THAT WE MAY NEVER
KNOW WE LOST.

The Undoing is a training method designed by Sussan Deyhim to help performers break free from

habits or techniques that might be holding us back.

This method simplifies and strips things down, giving us the space to recognize what’s actually useful
and what’s just extra effort weighing us down. By consciously letting go of tension—both physical and
mental—we create room for a new kind of ease in our movement, voice, and expression. It’s like
holding up a mirror to yourself and slowly removing anything that isn’t helping, until what’s left feels
instinctive and free.

Sussan teaches us how to release blocks and discover how much less effort is actually needed to
achieve something powerful. It’s not about holding back; it’s about understanding how to direct your
energy in the most effective way. As you let go of what no longer serves you, you begin to uncover a
deeper strength, a quieter confidence. In that space of clarity and ease, many discover not just their
authentic voice, but the goddess within—a source of intuitive power, grace, and fearless creativity.

It is also a return to your roots—a reconnection with the raw, elemental forces that shaped you. Just as
nature thrives in simplicity and balance, The Undoing invites you to remember your place within it.
Through breath, stillness, and sound, you begin to align with something older, deeper, and more
essential. This is where true expression begins—grounded in the body, connected to the earth, and
alive with presence.

PRESENTATION INCLUDES:

Gentle movement practice to help you center your body and breath, simple seated exercises
inspired by the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method to release tension in areas like the
throat and face—places that can affect vocal expression, and minimalist vocal exercises to
reconnect the voice, body, and mind in a natural, effortless way.
