"Majoun" is a collaborative album between composer Richard Horowitz and Iranian vocalist Sussan Deyhim, released in July 1997 under Sony Classical. The album blends electronic and ambient music with Persian folklore influences. The title "Majoun" means "mixture" or "magical potion" in Persian and Arabic and also refers to a traditional Egyptian confection that historically contained hashish.

Sussan Deyhim Gallery

Sussan Deyhim is an award winning composer, vocalist, performance artist and activist. She can be heard on multiple sound tracks including "Argo", "Last Temptation of Christ" and "The Kite Runner". Other collaborations include U2, Peter Gabriel, Eve Ensler, Bobby McFerrin, Robert Egan and co-creator, Richard Horowitz. Her Stage production "The House is Black Media Project" has been presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Royce Hall/CAP UCLA and The Wallis.
